Saint Petersburg is my home
In 2016 I retired to Saint Petersburg to enjoy Florida, friends and travel. I live here because of the quality of life and the many cultural, educational and culinary venues that are available to anyone who lives here. There are many opportunities to engage with the community. The University of South Florida in Saint Petersburg provides opportunities for continual learning and there are multiple community theater groups as well as art festivals and music festivals.
While Saint Petersburg is my home, I love to travel. I have explored 46 states and 21 countries. When I am not traveling, I enjoy hanging out with friends and appreciate everything Florida has to offer.
I love to travel, sometimes with friends, often by myself. I prepare for my adventures with a lot of planning and research. I enjoy the planning process almost as much as the traveling adventure. I learn about the history, culture and politics of the places I plan to visit. This learning process enhances the enjoyment of my travels and increases my curiosity. Travel is not about checking off boxes on a bucket list but enjoying the overall travel experience.
