Exploring Pest and Buda

The past two days have been filled exploring Budapest. Our hotel is located in Pest so the group spent yesterday (October 6) exploring Pest and today exploring Buda. Budapest is a beautiful city with a lot of history. If you look closely while exploring the older sections of Budapest, one can see many scars from WII. At the start of WWII Hungary sided with Nazi Germany. Most the war damage was in Buda and was from American bombers and the invading Soviet Army.

The 2nd largest synagogue in the world is in Hungary. It was built in 1865.

Took a night time cruise down the Danube. Enjoyed a glass of wine while enjoying some amazing views. The temperature in Budapest has been in the mid 50s.
