Decided today was not going to be a museum day. I was going to explore Copenhagen, get a nice lunch and checkout the sites.
I climbed the 295 feet to the top of the exterior spiral on the Our Savior’s Church.
After climbing to the top of Our Savior’s Church, I took this short video of the surrounding city. I will confess to being very nervous filming this video at almost 300 feet. But the views were outstanding.
After visiting the church, I walked along the harbor front in search of the Little Mermaid from the HC Anderson fairy tale. And then I found her.
I did not expect the Little Mermaid to be so small, but it sure was popular. Copenhagen this time of year is very crowded. I had been warned it would be crowded, so I was not surprised.
Wandering around Copenhagen is fun. There is a lot to see. In addition to all the culture, Copenhagen is a beautiful city. Since today is my birthday, I treated myself to a very nice lunch at the Fishmarket. I got back to my hotel around 4:00 PM, because I was exhausted. I did have a nice glass of wine at the hotel Happy Hour. After all it was free.
