This morning I took a cable car from Murren to the Schilthorn, a mountain peak located at 9744 feet. It has a restaurant, observation deck and of course a store. It is best known for the location where 80% of the James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was filmed in 1969.

Th Schilthorn is going through some major renovation. I enjoyed breakfast in the rotating restaurant. The views were obscured by cloud cover which rolled in about 30 minutes after I arrived.
As noted above, this was the location of a James Bond movie released in 1969 staring George Lazenby (James Bond), Diana Rigg (Tracy Bond), Telly Savalas (Blofeld). I toured a fun James Bond museum.

Views from the surrounding areas was amazing. 30 minutes after I arrived the clouds rolled in and the views were gone.
In the early afternoon a light rain started and continued most the afternoon and evening.

It is still ski season at the top of the Alps.
