Arrive in Luzern May 11

I arrived in Luzern on a beautiful day, the temperature was in the mid 60s. The city borders both sides of the Reuss River at the mouth of Lake Luzern. The lake is beautiful and the river adds a lot of character to the city.

Who knew there would be a Rolex store in Switzerland!

The old section of Luzern is a wonderful place to stroll. Of course there are many places to stop and get a local beer.

The Lion Monument memorializes the 600 Swiss soldiers that were killed in 1792 attempting to protect the French king Louis XVI.
On Monday afternoon it started to rain and it did not stop. When the rain slowed to a drizzle, I did get a chance to wonder the back streets and take in the character of the city.

    Room seems minimalistic. No need for a TV when you have beautiful outdoor sights to view. Not sure about not having AC…hopefully it is not needed.
